MUSIC MINISTRY
Friendship's Sanctuary choir is led by Mrs. Marcia Womble and is open to 6th Graders - Senior Adults. All that we ask is that you like to sing for God's glory. The choir rehearses after worship on Sunday mornings for 45 minutes after the church service. Occasionally during the year, there are extra practices. We're always looking for "a few good men!"
The children's choir is comprised of children ages 4K - 1st Grade and 2nd - 6th Grade. Sometimes the groups sing in worship together, and sometimes separately. They are led by Mrs. Sarah Cathcart and are a wonderful addition to our worship when they sing! The children's choir meets from 6:00 - 7:00 PM.
At Friendship, we have at least two family Music Nights each year. These are times when members of the congregation can use their musical talents to bring glory to the Triune God.
We usually have a good mixture of singers and instrumentalists.
Hymn and psalm sings are also a popular event in the life of our church. Usually, twice a year we have an "open request" singing time, or some kind of hymn festival.
Children's chimes usually practice and play for worship during the Christmas and Easter seasons. This group is open to 1st - 12th grade students. The children's chimes activity offers each participant an opportunity to learn the fundamentals of making music and gives them an outlet to glorify God in worship. Children's chimes meets from 6:00 - 7:00 PM (Children's Choir time) during November, December, March, and April.
The Little Lights Choir likes to sing from their "head, shoulders, knees, and toes" to God's glory.
